Ecoasis is recruiting an Operations Engineer - Photovoltaics

 

Role Overview:

The Operations Engineer will be responsible for the efficient O&M of PV farms and will handle a range of tasks from troubleshooting to maintenance planning to ensure optimal performance of the farms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring - Use software and tools to continuously monitor PV systems for efficiency, uptime, and power output, ensuring systems are running optimally.
  • Performance analysis – Analyse energy production, weather impacts, and degradation, to identify any discrepancies from expected performance.
  • Reporting- Generate monthly and yearly reports on the plants’ performance for our stakeholders
  • Develop and execute maintenance schedules, including preventive and corrective tasks, to ensure equipment longevity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to support seamless operations and align on maintenance and technical requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and system modifications to comply with regulations and facilitate future troubleshooting.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
