Our client is seeking to recruit a Nursing Officer who will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves managing nursing operations, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
The Nursing Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing nursing policies, providing leadership to the nursing team, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the unit.
- Ensure that nursing care is delivered in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor patient outcomes and work with the healthcare team to make necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including the assignment of duties and management of shift schedules.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
- Ensure that all nursing activities comply with healthcare regulations, policies, and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control protocols and other safety measures.
- Ensure that nursing staff are aware of and adhere to updated policies and procedures.
- Implement changes in nursing practice based on new evidence or policy updates.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and administrative staff, to coordinate patient care.
- Serve as a point of contact for patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing information about care plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to decision-making processes regarding patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, staff activities, and other relevant data.
- Prepare and submit reports on nursing activities, patient outcomes, and staff performance.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, to ensure the efficient operation of the unit.
The Nursing Officer will require to work on a shift system.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- A valid nursing license and registration with the relevant nursing council.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current nursing practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software.
