Candidate’s Profile:
HSC level or equivalent, professional training and professional experience
Fluent both in English and French, a third language would be an advantage
3 years experience in hotels or resorts
Main Responsibilities:
- Take part in internal training courses and to implement what has been learnt in daily practice
- Change foreign currencies to help guests in making financial transactions
- Attend to guests’ complaints and liaise with departments concerned for remedial actions
- Arrange for clearance of luggage and transport of guests to airport
- To prepare check-in & check out procedure to all guests
- Give relevant and up-to-date information to guest
- Operate the telephone switchboard to entertain incoming, outgoing and internal calls
- Follow-up internal request for external calls and keep appellants informed of developments thereof
- Inform guests about all events which take place in the hotel
- Conduct Hotel visits
- Organize and coordinates guest wedding and any other special
- Prepare guest’s bill and receives payment for settlement of accounts before checkout
- Prepare daily statement of revenue and submits with cash, cheque or credit card slips to accounts department
- Responsible for reception central safe and cash float when on duty
- Responsible for the cash inventory allocated to her/him (i. e. daily check, declaring shortfalls and separate calculation of tips)
- Ensure that all IT systems are running and all sales have been posted in the guests’ account accordingly
- All adjustments must be explained or appropriately documented
- Attend daily briefings in his/her department
- Follow-up of all procedures as per SOP
- Handle telephone calls
- Know perfectly all emergency procedure, such as for fire, accidents, breakdown, alerts and calls to a doctor
- Take requests for wake-ups and ensures that such calls are made
- Know perfectly the characteristics of the hotel, the name, positions and responsibilities of each department head and each section head, extension telephone numbers and the use and location of equipment
- Prepare daily events and forward to all departments
- Obtain all the relevant information from the previous shift and pass this on to the next shift
- Administration of internal keys (restaurant, store, etc.)
- Responsible for orderly filing of all reports and documents
- Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units
- Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society
