Based at Mer Rouge and reporting to the Corporate Manager – Marketing & Communication, the intern will support the marketing initiatives with the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing programs including digital marketing campaigns.
Outline of the intern's roles and responsibilities
• Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns.
• Assist and guide on content development & creation for marketing channels.
• Ensure that contents’ targets are met for the social media strategy and the post calendar is implemented as planned.
• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)
• Maintain the corporate / business websites in terms of design and content updates.
• Share leads from digital platforms with sales teams and/or business units.
• Coordinate with all stakeholders, (sales, operations, customer service) for community management activities including customer enquiries, lead generation, customer feedback and complaints for follow-up and resolution.
• Support global sales teams for email and social media marketing campaigns.
• Help organize marketing events
What we are looking for:
The ideal intern should have the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication Digital Marketing, Digital Communications, or other related field.
• Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• A flair for design and passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
• Excellent linguistic competencies in English, French and Creole.
• Familiarity with MarCom software and SaaS (e.g. Trello, Google Analytics, WordPress, Drupal and Google Adwords) would be a plus.
• An understanding of Search Engine Optimization principles.
