The Storekeeper need to receive and control goods and deliveries; and to store and issue goods as required in accordance with Hotel policy. He / She has to be fully conversant with, and to strictly adhere to the Purchasing procedures.
Duties & Responsibilites
- To maintain bin cards and to report any slow moving items to the Purchasing Manager.
- To ensure that all stores are correctly rotated and issued in sequence.
- To assist with monthly physical stock count activities as required.
- To carry out weekly spot checks on store items.
- To report any discrepancies of goods against Purchase Order.
- To notify the Purchasing of obsolete and out of date stock.
- To maximise use of storage space available.
- To maintain up to date storeroom plans and records.
- To maintain all stores in a neat, tidy and clean manner.
- To ensure that Health and Safety practises are maintained at all times including manual handling and stacking items.
- To ensure security of stores areas is maintained and that key control system is maintained and that keys are returned to security when not in use.
- To be flexible in assisting colleagues with tasks
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum SC +3 years experience in a store environment
- IT Conversant mainly Microsoft Outlook and Word / Excel / Sicorax Stock & Inventory
- Conversant with store keeping procedures
- Analytical and internal control oriented
- Knowledge in Accounting
