You will assist our clients with questions they may have on their taxes and process requests they submit. This role is perfect for a team player who is detailed oriented, client focused, and payroll and tax minded.

 

About the Position:

The Tax Customer Support Specialist I, as a skilled specialist, will process clients' periodic, quarterly and annual information. In this role you would be key in helping our clients file their taxes accurately and timely. You will assist our clients with questions they may have on their taxes and process requests they submit. This role is perfect for a team player who is detailed oriented, client focused, and payroll and tax minded.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent client service on moderate to complex payroll tax issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring data and requests are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work with the client through our Salesforce system in written communication, along with hosting client meetings.
  • Responds to client requests by analyzing and resolving client issues, or problem solving through identification and coordination of Dayforce resources.
  • May work actively with customers, internal business units, payroll partners and third-party vendors to build and maintain customer loyalty, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Utilize Dayforce’s internal resources, service tools, and Salesforce to provide high-quality customer service.
  • Must keep current on all major systems enhancements, jurisdictional changes, and tax filing procedures.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for resolution of ongoing client issues as they are identified.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply practical application to identified problems
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and at all levels.
  • PC Skills (Microsoft office suite, data entry, etc).

 

Preferred Skills/experience/education/knowledge/strengths:

  • Experience providing over-the-phone service.
  • Experience in payroll an asset.
  • Training in basic accounting.
  • Completion of CPA Payroll Compliance Legislation and Payroll Fundamentals.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Capacity to work flexible working hours to include Night Shift schedule and day-offs that maybe scheduled on weekdays
  • Willingness to work during holidays.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Be an effective, active and engaged team member
