Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the agro-chemical sector, is looking for a Logistic and Customer Service (Public Health Department).

 

Our client, in the agro-chemical sector, is looking for a Logistic and Customer Service (Public Health Department).

Reporting to the PH Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Planning and coordination of logistic for supplies, and Logistic coordination for sales of Public Health products range in Africa.

Main responsibilities:

  • Update sales forecasts;
  • Place orders to suppliers;
  • Coordinate logistic for supplies including stock in Rotterdam, South Africa;
  • Answer to requests for quotes from customers;
  • Treatment and follow up of orders from reception of PO to reception of proof of delivery and payment from customers;
  • Post all supplies / sales documents in the ERP (IScala).

Expected scope of action and responsibilities:

  • Monthly update for the sales forecast;
  • Coordinate supplies, from supplier to warehouse or direct shipments;
  • Answer to customer’s requests: quotes, PFI, bid for tenders;
  • Ensure efficient processing of customer’s orders;
  • Proactive follow up of logistic processes;
  • Look for solutions for logistic issues and, when necessary, Inform customers about delays;
  • Coordinate with logistic suppliers until effective delivery of goods;
  • Ensure payments are done in due term.

Tasks:

•           Orders to suppliers and follow up:

  • Post PO to suppliers in the system and send to suppliers (PH products and logistic)
  • Coordinate supplies between suppliers and relevant logistic service providers.
  • keep records of inventory including quantities and batch management.

•           Customer service:

  • Answer to requests from customers: quotes, PFI…
  • Post PO in ERP;
  • Prepare documents for bids for tenders, liaise with suppliers when requested;
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers;
  • Prepare all relevant documents for logistic and export and communicate to customers;
  • Logistic follow up until delivery to customer and realization of the selling incoterm;
  • Coordinate with finance team and banks for guarantees, bonds and when LC is requested;
  • follow up on litigation and damages and liaise with insurance until resolution;
  • Obtain POD;
  • Follow up on payment.
