Design and Development
To contribute to the design, development and maintenance of specialist resources and/or long-term projects.
Offer professional guidance, assistance and support to students and teachers on the practical aspects of the curriculum.
To provide technical advice and support on safety and health issues to teaching staff and students.
Designing, constructing and modifying apparatus.
Preparing standard solutions.
Setting up and caring for plant and animal collections.
Purifying chemicals and treating waste.
Cleaning and Maintenance
To ensure the cleaning and maintenance of laboratories and associated apparatus.
To ensure the safe storage and accessibility of equipment, materials and apparatus after use.
To ensure that both routine and non-routine checking, cleaning, maintenance, calibration, testing and repairing of equipment are carried out to the required standard.
To ensure safe treatment and disposal of used/waste materials including hazardous substances and responding to actual or potential hazards.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
A Diploma or higher in a relevant subject area.
High School Certificate or a certificate of equivalence.
Minimum of 2–5 years in secondary section as Lab Technician.
Experience in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in an international school setting.
