SL(MRU) Limited, a subsidiary of Silver Levene (the largest ACCA practice in the UK having grown to over 85 staffs and 17 Partners based in London) is recruiting a Junior/ Semi Senior Tax Assistant to join our team. The office is based in Quatre Bornes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tax compliance for UK clients only
Because of the nature of the work, selected candidates will have full in-house training and support
Task involves:
1) Request information from clients and 3rd parties (banks, building societies, pension providers
etc.) and send reminders as necessary;
2) Collate accounts and other relevant information from other departments of our UK company;
3) Use information to complete tax returns using tax software;
4) Prepare letters to clients, detailing liabilities and any tax saving opportunities;
5) Ensure clients receive their tax returns and any client queries are dealt with;
6) Ensure approval of completed tax returns are returned from clients and lodged with HMRC;
7) Calculate total tax liability for clients and advise clients of when and how to pay tax and any interest, surcharges and penalties;
8) Other duties as assigned by Tax Manager;
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Candidates are advised to specify their HSC results and other qualifications.
