Junior Mechatronics Technician

The purpose of this role is to assist in installing GPS & probes and ensure proper calibration and configuration of hardware on our fleet management solution, OmniComm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that installations are done professionally and efficiently
• Provide customers with adequate information on delivery
• Prepare technical team schedule of work with proficiency
• Update software once repairs have been completed to reflect working status
• Carry out survey on equipment to identify appropriate hardware to be installed
• Attend & repair all technical issues or enquiries that are reported by team or clients & update job cards with accurate information
• Plan team’s intervention & review with Operations Manager
• Keep up to date with new features of software and hardware
• Propose innovative development for the business
• Ensure proper calibration & configuration of hardware on equipment & software (OmniComm Online & RFDS)
• Prepare request form to issue hardware from stock

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering
• At least 1 year of experience in mechatronics jobs or similar field
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

Knowledge & Technical Competencies:

• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

Behavioral Competencies:

• Good attitude towards everybody
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
