Key Responsibilities
The position reports to the Group Head of IT Internal Audit and the successful candidate will, among other responsibilities, be expected to perform the following:
- Lead and manage the IT audit process for a portfolio of audits within the group.
- Oversee and guide the audit team to ensure thorough and effective audit execution.
- Provide independent and objective assurance on IT governance and cybersecurity.
- Identify and assess IT risks and recommend improvements to mitigate these risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including the IT Risk Management, Cyber and Information Risk Management Guidelines.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Perform follows ups on the recommendations coming out of the IT Reports.

Technical skills:
- Understanding of IT Systems: Knowledge of operating systems, databases, networks, and software applications is crucial.

- Risk Management: Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Proficiency in using various auditing tools and software to conduct thorough assessments.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess a degree from a recognized and reputable institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related disciplines plus a professional audit certification such as CISA or other related. In addition, they must have an overall of 8 years of experience in IT audit and/or IT Risk Management from a reputable institution with at least four (4) years’ verifiable and relevant to the position.
