Our client, a well-established conglomerate is seeking to recruit an Internal Auditor who will report to the Manager Audit Risk. The incumbent will assist in the evaluation of an organisation's internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan audit assignment/s in collaboration with the Senior Internal Auditor and assist in identifying key areas of risk and developing audit objectives.
- Conduct risk-based audit assignments in line with the Group's Risk Based Audit Methodology and in line with directives provided by the Senior Internal Auditor.
- Contribute to and assist in the delivery of the department's goals including the effective and efficient planning and execution of assignments.
- Prepare working papers documenting the audit work performed, including recording observations, collecting relevant evidence, and ensuring compliance with established audit methodologies.
- Ensure audit files are complete for review by the Auditor in charge of the assignment.
- Assist in the preparation of the draft audit report by summarizing findings, observations, and recommendations based on the evidence gathered during the audit process.
- Engage in ongoing professional development by learning about auditing standards, best practices, and the organization's internal policies and procedures.
- Any other audit related assignments as may be assigned by the Manager Audit & Risk.
Profile:
- Minimum ACCA Level 1 or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year experience in an Auditing environment.
- Familiar with MS Office tools.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills in both English and French.
- Good understanding of internal audit standards and best practices.
- Ability to execute audit assignments in line with directives provided by the Senior Internal Auditor.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify audit findings and potential risks.
- Proficient in articulating and formulating audit findings in audit working papers.
- Demonstrate integrity and objectivity.
- Demonstrate commitment to staying up to date with industry regulations, best practices, and internal audit standards.
