Industrial Mechanics

Mechanic workers are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.

• Inspect and Diagnose Equipment: Examine machinery and equipment to identify mechanical issues, using diagnostic tools and visual inspections.
• Perform Repairs: Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems on a variety of machinery, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Conduct Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment failure, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and adjustments.
• Utilize Specialized Tools: Operate tools and machinery such as wrenches, drills, and specialized diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and Interpret Technical Manuals: Understand and follow equipment manuals and schematics to perform accurate repairs and adjustments.
• Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and repair work, including parts used, time spent, and work completed.
