**** Under the supervision of the IcT Manager, the IcT Support Technician will provide Technical Service and Support in Information & Communication Technologies.
**** The role also includes setting-up workstations, peripherals and configuring software packages.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES – BUT NOT RESTRICTED TO:
- Provide on-site & off-site first level support for all end-users requiring assistance, guidance, or experiencing difficulties in the use of desktop equipment and applications
- The candidate should have a logical approach at troubleshooting end-users’ issues and a professional behaviour when delivering support services.
- Ensuring troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of workstations, peripheral devices and mobile phones
- Carry out configuration, installation & testing of hardware and software packages.
- Ensure that hardware and software packages are operating optimally.
- Ensure daily/weekly back up is done and logged accordingly
- Liaison with suppliers (follow-up, orders, repairs, replacement).
- Survey and maintenance of IcT Fixed Asset Register
- Provide monthly report to management and adhering ad-hoc instruction.
- Assists auditors and Risk Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- HSC, Diploma or Degree in IcT related to software and hardware
- Professional qualifications - CCNA / MCP / MCSA / MCSE
- Experience in IT Support or Service Desk would be an advantage
- Passionate and up-to-date with latest technologies
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Pleasant personality and Good communication skills to effectively deal with users
- Deliver professional support and services to end-users
- Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Pro-active and able to take initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Being in the tourism industry, candidates should have a flexible approach to their working hours and be able to work under pressure.
