The IT Technician will be responsible to provude technical support including diagnostic / service/ networking / repair/advise to customers on hardware/software/application/system/and project related to IT equipment /product/environment.
Main Duties:
- Responsible to perform diagnostic & hands – on fixes on Desktop items including installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups and configuration of systems and applications.
- Responsible to troubleshoot computer equipments, ensuring it runs correctly, and recovers any lost or accidentally deleted data.
- Responsible to troubleshoot computer and peripheral issues and provides hardware replacement, cleaning or repair as needed.
- Responsible to respond to assigned tasks with Help Desk Admin, follow – up quote sent with Admin and ensure timely deliveries to client
- Responsible to ensure that all product failures are duly recorded and immediate action taken to replace faulty parts.
- Responsible to ensure efficient and proper use of all tools and equipments provided by the Workshop Manager for assembly of PC.
- Responsible to do research, look for solution, liaise with Brand expert for solution and escalate to the supplier and managers in case no adequate response.
- Responsible to follow the workshop planning on the system and work accordingly as per company procedures.
- Responsible to ensure that information is correctly processed and that work complies with relevant internal rules.
- Responsible to fill in job cards with their respective tasks and submit to the supervisors for vetting.
- Responsible to provide periodic report to officer/supervisor/manager under standing or ad – hoc instruction.
- Responsible to assist in the training and/or induction of customer specifically in the use of their IT equipment.
- Responsible to use the spare parts transactions form for collection of parts required for repairs and return unused parts back to store while providing the customer service clerk all shipment documents for stock update purposes.
- Responsible to verify the availability of spare parts in the store and report to the supervisors for timely active corrective action in case fast moving parts are not available
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- SC or HSC (passed)
- Desirable :- CompTIA A+ H&S or equivalent Advantage :- Diploma in IT and others IT & Brand Certifications
- IT Troubleshooting and repairs 2
- Knowledge in repairs, upgrade, updates of Desktop Products like Laptop / Desktop/Printer/Screen/Scanner/POS
- Knowledge in Networking/Wi-Fi, Deployment of Desktop OS & Application on large scale.
- Knowhow in seeking support into Technical documentations & familiar with Internet, forums etc for Research & Development
