The IT Administrator will oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, providing Level 2 support for Windows environments, managing Microsoft 365 endpoints, SharePoint, and Intune. This role includes maintaining software, hardware, and networks to ensure secure and efficient operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Management and Maintenance
- Install, configure, and manage hardware and software systems.
- Provide Level 2 support for Windows environments, troubleshooting and resolving complex OS issues.
- Ensure endpoint security and manage endpoint configurations through Microsoft Intune.
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Oversee Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Manage Microsoft 365 endpoints, ensuring compliance with security and usage policies.
- Set up and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, and permissions for collaboration and content sharing.
- Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, providing support for end-users as needed.
- Network Administration
- Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Maintain network security and access control, setting up VPNs and managing firewall rules.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Data Security and Compliance
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect the organization’s data and IT assets.
- Use Microsoft Intune to manage device compliance, remote wipe, and application controls.
- Conduct regular security audits, including vulnerability and penetration testing.
- Manage data backups, disaster recovery planning, and data recovery operations.
- User Support and Training
- Provide Level 2 technical support to end-users, resolving issues with hardware, software, Windows OS, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Conduct training sessions to help users understand best practices for SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and endpoint management.
- Create documentation for common troubleshooting procedures and IT policies.
- Infrastructure and Capacity Planning
- Assess IT infrastructure needs and make recommendations for upgrades.
- Ensure systems are scalable and capable of supporting the organization's growth.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement, setup, and maintenance of new systems and technologies.
- Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop and enforce IT policies related to security, access, and data usage.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as GDPR.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience: Minimum of 2 - 4 years in an IT administrator role or similar position with experience in Windows support, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Intune for device and endpoint management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications (preferred): CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Level 2 support) and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with network management and network security.
- Understanding of security protocols and best practices (firewalls, VPNs, antivirus software).
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
