Westzane (Mauritius) Holding Ltd seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead recruitment and development across our parent company and subsidiaries—Westzane Bank and Westzane Security Ltd. This role ensures HR strategies align with company goals, enhancing engagement and workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for all levels of employees across the parent company and subsidiaries, ensuring a strong talent pipeline for both Westzane Bank and Westzane Security Ltd.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local labor laws and industry regulations across all business units.
- Manage employee relations and act as a point of contact for resolving HR-related issues or concerns for all employees within the parent company and subsidiaries.
- Work closely with leadership teams to identify workforce needs and align talent acquisition strategies with business goals.
- Oversee performance management processes, including appraisals, employee development plans, and succession planning.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs to enhance skills, promote professional growth, and increase overall productivity.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Advise senior management on HR-related matters, providing insights and recommendations on organizational structure, compensation, benefits, and employee engagement strategies.
- Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent across the financial services and tech sectors.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by implementing employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, especially in office settings and remote work environments.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and HR best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
- Handle exit processes for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure payroll processing and employee benefits administration are accurate and timely.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, ideally in a diverse organizational structure, with experience in the financial services and technology sectors being highly desirable.
- HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of local labor laws, HR compliance, and industry standards in Mauritius, as well as best practices in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Recruitment Experience: Proven track record in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates at all levels, for both tech and financial services industries.
- Employee Relations: Experience managing employee relations, resolving conflicts, and providing coaching and guidance on HR-related issues.
- Performance Management: Experience in developing and overseeing performance management frameworks, including goal setting, feedback systems, and career development.
- HR Software & Tools: Proficiency in HR software and tools such as HRIS systems, payroll systems, and performance management platforms.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confidentiality & Discretion: High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential employee and company information.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in complex HR situations.
- Adaptability & Initiative: Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
