Provides direction and monitors housekeeping team member in their area of performance, including public areas, guest room maintenance and cleanliness to meet Hilton’s high standard of quality.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Oversee staff by conducting daily walk through, inspecting staff work and giving guidance and direction so that deficiencies are corrected and standards are met. Visually and physically inspect guestroom turndown services daily, VIP rooms, general cleanliness, lobbies and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Train staff in the procedures and techniques to use to appropriately and adequately clean and maintain the hotel cleanliness. Additional training to include detailed instructions on the usage of chemicals.
  • Complete and process work tickets and ensure completion of repairs by the property operations department.
  • Coach, counsel and discipline staff, when appropriate, to ensure standards are being met.
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to safety/security department.
  • Other duties as assigned such as but not limited to dispatchers, carpet care attendants, public area attendants or lockeroom attendants.
  • Take request inventories of furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, etc. Insure that carts and linen /supply closets are kept clean, neat and stocked according
REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of stain removal and chemical agents, and operation of various floor cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to read and write basic English in order to complete forms such as a room status report, detailed written pass on log and work ticket requests and assign written special assignments.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy cleaning equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to subordinates.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
EDUCATION
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 
  • High school education preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience preferred including knowledge of carpet cleaning techniques and stain removal.
  • Minimum supervisory experience or one year of comparable housekeeping experience preferred.
