Chartreuse Group is looking for a HR Executive to join our Team in Nouvelle France, Mauritius. This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious and fast-paced organisation, providing crucial support across a range of HR functions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Function as first point of contact for all expat employee queries
- Work closely with the Ministry of Labour and Passport & Immigration office in Mauritius
- Maintain HR Tracker, for the purposes of accurate monthly statistics, including expat payrolls, expat permits and general HR admin
- Liaise and collaborate with Line Managers employing expat employees, providing support for time & attendance issues, Contracts of Employment, annual and sick leave and disciplinary procedures. You will be supported by Management on the legal framework of the Workers’ Rights Act.
- Input payroll data and HR analytics on the HRPTA and SICORAX payroll Information System and ensure it remains up to date with any changes Assist with processing of expat payroll as required.
- File departmental paperwork online on a regular basis.
- Manage all expat permits, expiration dates and renewals with the Ministry of Labour
- Administer Maternity, Paternity, Shared Parental leave process.
- Provide support to other HR Team members during busy periods.
- Proactively maintain all HR information for expats
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process (posting job adverts, sourcing candidates, performing background checks)
- Assist with recruitment, schedule interviews references, induction and onboarding.
About you: Key Skills & Experience
- Skills, Experience and/or Qualifications Preferred:
- Diploma in Human Resources Management
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role at managing expat recruitment and administration
- Good understanding of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Up to date knowledge of HR regulations best practice and WRA.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
