We are looking for a dynamic Human Resource professional to consolidate our HR Team, the ideal candidate will assist in the Human resource function in terms of but not limited to Talent Acquisition and Management, Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits and Employee Engagement.

 

We are looking for a dynamic Human Resource professional to consolidate our HR Team, the ideal candidate will assist in the Human resource function in terms of but not limited to Talent Acquisition and Management, Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits and Employee Engagement. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Talent Acquisition:
  • Assist with recruitment activities including posting job advertisements, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and assist with the selection process.
  • Perform reference checks as per set procedures.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing documents, orientation sessions, Dept visits and setting up employee accounts.
  • Register employees on the time and attendance machine and software.

 

  • Compensation and Benefits:
  • Assist with payroll preparation and ensure that all transactions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Organize the daily replacements of employees absent in stores, following internal procedures.
  • Assist with time and attendance management by gathering timesheets and employee attendance data.
  • Assist in the management of medical insurance claims.

 

  • Training and Development:
  • Assist in organising training sessions and workshops for employee development when required.
  • Follow up with HRDC

 

  • Employee Welfare and Engagement:
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects that promote workplace well-being and satisfaction.

 

  • General Administrative Support:

 

  • Maintain and update employee records (both physical and electronic) in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to HR functions.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, preparing HR documentation and organizing HR-related events.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties and projects when required. 

 

PROFILE OF CANDIDATE:

 

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management or any other related field.
  • At least one year of experience in the same position in the retail, textile or hotel sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Familiarity with administrative tools and HR processes will be an advantage
  • Good communications kills, both written and verbal, in English and French
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Motivated, eager to learn, and a proactive problem solver.
  • Be focused on employee service and build relationships
  • Listening skills and team spirit
