Groupe Beau Vallon is one of the main economic players in the Southeast of the island. We have considerably diversified activities over the past fifteen years into key sectors such as diversified agriculture, hospitality and property development.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring health and safety compliance, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance and training to staff to minimise workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Know how
- Provide advice and support on health and safety regulations, policies, and practices.
- Conduct comprehensive health and safety audits.
- Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and prevent workplace injuries or illnesses.
- Develop safety plans, conduct safety drills, and ensure that all workplace emergency protocols are effective and well-practiced.
- Monitor workplace conditions to identify potential health and safety hazards.
- Provide training on health and safety best practices, emergency procedures, and hazard awareness.
- Keep records of safety audits, risk assessments, and safety trainings.
- Advise on the interpretation and application of health and safety regulations.
- Prepare appropriate reports and documentation related to health and safety compliance, incidents, and audits.
- Provide support in the event of workplace accidents; conduct investigations, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Organise a Health & Safety Committee Meeting at least once every two months.
- Ensure employees are provided with adequate protective equipment and clothing.
- Ensure the yearly factory registration is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the fire safety certificate is renewed and maintained annually in compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure that fire extinguisher servicing is carried out promptly and as required.
Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Skills:
- Ability to identify risk and develop practical solutions.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
