We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team based at our Head Office in Mapou.
Overview of the Role:
This role is responsible for creating visually compelling and brand-aligned graphics for a diverse range of products, with a strong focus on retail merchandise design. The position requires a blend of artistic creativity and technical expertise, ensuring that designs not only reflect current trends but are also adaptable across various formats and product types to enhance market appeal.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop creative concepts and graphic designs that align with the brand’s vision and merchandising needs.
- Produce digital artwork and mockups for presentations, product approvals, and production.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials, product packaging, and promotional items.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining efficiency.
- Research design trends, consumer preferences, and industry innovations to generate fresh and relevant visuals.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and product development teams to ensure design concepts align with brand identity and product objectives.
- Work with printers and suppliers (e.g., fabric vendors, promotional merchandise providers) to execute design projects.
- Adapt designs for different product types and manufacturing specifications, ensuring production feasibility.
- Prepare and review files for printing, embroidery, and other production processes, maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Develop and create graphic designs for a wide range of merchandise, including apparel, accessories, packaging, and promotional materials.
- Edit and enhance photos for marketing and communication purposes.
- Maintain and organize graphic assets, including logos, images, and design templates.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas for new product lines and marketing campaigns.
- Support the communication team with visual storytelling and strategic branding initiatives.
Candidate's Profile:
- Diploma or degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Certification in design software or digital media is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Strong understanding of branding, typography, and color theory.
- Experience in print production, digital design, and packaging is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of photography, video editing, and motion graphics is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
