Receives and consolidates all cash and checks and prepares for the daily bank deposit. Maintains records of daily cash receipts and transactions.

 

Supportive Functions

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Director of Finance/Financial Controller based upon the particular requirements of the Company:

 

  • Assists office in other duties as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by Director of Finance or Financial Controller.

 

OTHER DUTIES

Supports the Hilton Blue Energy culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of Blue Energy. Demonstrates working knowledge of the service standards.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team Members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

 

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is their responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that do not fit properly, to their Manager.

Complies with Health and Safety and fire procedures and regulations.

Able to follow and enforce all hotel standards, including safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations as per disaster manual.

 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

 

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.

 

-          Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-          Ability to effectively deal with a variety of audience, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.

-          Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects, such as, accounts, receivable, payroll.

-          Mathematical skills and abilities to perform mathematical calculations without error while working with large sums of money.

-          Spreadsheet and database knowledge is helpful.

-          Ability to perform duties in confined space.

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

 

EDUCATION

 

Higher School Certificate.

 

EXPERIENCE

Experience in similar work would be an advantage

 

GROOMING/UNIFORMS

All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of orientation process.

 

 

The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.

Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with Hilton rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Team Members who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
