As a Freight Forwarding Agent, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the flow of goods for our American and Mauritian clients, ensuring efficient and timely transportation in compliance with quality standards.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all transportation operations from receiving to shipping goods, adhering to customs regulations and transit procedures.
  • Oversee and verify transit documents (e.g., bills of lading, other transport documents) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth processes from start to finish.
  • Plan and optimize transportation routes considering cost efficiency, delivery timelines, and client priorities.
  • Address any transport-related issues proactively, proposing solutions to minimize impacts on timelines and costs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the transportation and/or logistics sector.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and freight forwarding procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, particularly transportation management software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple files simultaneously.

Your Profile:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers.
  • Previous experience in customer service is a plus, but not required—we value enthusiasm and a proactive attitude!
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and French, with additional languages considered a bonus.

Minimum Education Level : HCS / BAC 

Minimum Work Experience Level : One year in Logistics field

Seeking for candidates residing in South-East Region up to Curepipe.

Working days : Monday to Saturday including Mauritian public holidays.

Working hours : Depending on the time zones of our clients ( Mauritian and American)
