Assist customers in selecting and purchasing seafood
Maintain cleanliness in the seafood section
Prepare, clean cut and pack seafood according to standards
Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Provide excellent customer service
Collaborate with other department staff to ensure smooth operation of the seafood department
Prepare seafood items for display and sale, including marinating, seasoning, and arranging products
Qualifications & Skills
High school certificate or equivalent.
Previous experience in a seafood department or similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of different types of seafood and their characteristics.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Basic maths skills for weightage.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
The job may require working in a cold and wet environment, standing for long periods, and handling sharp tools.
Valid food handlers card.
Clean Certificate of character.
