The Finance Specialist will implement, in collaboration with management, the company’s financial strategy and a sound treasury and tax processes.

 

The Finance Specialist at Medine Group has the duty to help management to make financial decisions.

Being in this role, your responsibilities will involve (but will not be limited to) : 

Financial Management

  • Monitor preparation of budgets and financial planning strategies.
  • Monitor and control budget and cash flow, and predict future trends.
  • Compute figures and prepare recurring account statements.
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment reporting and other tax requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of the businesses’ finance are maintained.
  • Compute project feasibilities and ensure adequate follow up.
  • Prepare consolidation figures and pack for the group.

Control

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Ensure team’s activities and reports follow accounting principles and adhere with company policies.

Analysis

  • Analyse financial performance against key business metrics, which will enable management to determine progress against budget.
  • Interpret financial info while recommending further course of actions.
  • Prepare monthly presentation pack for Management.ers

Reporting and compliance

  • Prepare reports as required by law, regulations and company policies.
  • Produce financial statement, business activity reports, and overall financial position and forecast reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist in the end of year closing and financial statement preparation.
  • Establish the appropriate tax planning for all SPVs.

Policies and Procedure Development and Implementation

  • Develop, monitor and measure effectiveness of accounting procedures.
  • Implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency.

Minimum experience requirements

  • A minimum 3 years working experience in a senior position in Finance.

Minimum education requirements

  • ACCA fully qualified or a degree in finance or accounting

Candidate’s Profile

  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Good judgment and analytical ability.
  • Good leadership skills
  • Cooperative and willing to assist others.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficient users of PC, calculator, and other basic business machines.
