The Front End Developer will report to the Web Development Manager.

The successful incumbent will be responsible to:

• Design, develop and implement high quality web pages or web applications by using best software practices.
• Integrate web pages from briefs and visuals provided.
• Maintain all LUX* websites with experience in user interface design complying with the LUX* Resorts & Hotels’ standards and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
• Tertiary Education at Advanced Certificate or Diploma Level majoring in Web Programming or related fields from a recognised institution or equivalent qualifications.

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE

• A minimum of 2 years of working experience in Web Programming.

• Self-motivated and passionate in interactivity in multimedia and web trends.
• Ability to manage time and tasks independently in order to meet set deadlines.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Applied knowledge in HTML/ HTML5/ xHTML/ CSS 1-3, JS Responsive Design, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio or any related Programming Editor software.
• Excellent knowledge in Responsive Frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Foundation, Masonry).
• Ability to develop and test across multiple browsers, platforms and devices.
• Advanced skills in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
• Ability to implement HTML/CSS into ASP.Net web applications. Knowledge of Umbraco Content Management System (CMS) would be an advantage.
• Ability to develop HTML5 / CSS 3 / JQuery Front-End code across a broad array of interactive web.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French languages. A third language will be a definite advantage.
• Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Clean certificate of character is a must.
