• Higher School Certificate or equivalent • 5 year experience in the field of event in the tourism sector • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken • Good communication skills and ability to get on well with different kinds of people • Computer literate

 

  • Take part in training and implement accordingly
  • Maintain close contact with clients by email to discuss their requirements and budget
  • Prepare proposals and quotations
  • Come up with creative ideas and themes
  • Advise on wedding customs or etiquette
  • Make sure couples are kept up to date with all wedding plans
  • Propose a rehearsal
  • Prepare a Wedding Book with pictures, various set ups, F&B proposals, “off the beaten track” ceremonies, etc…
    • Maintain the wedding guest book by taking picture of the couple on the day and make them write their experience
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all segments, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports
  • To do a monthly report/revenue analysis for  HM & EAM
  • Agree prices with suppliers such as florists, photographers, F&B…
  • Keep detailed records to make sure that costs stay within budget
  • Be at the venue on the day of the wedding to make sure that everything goes to plan
  • Oversees all facets of setup, so that the participants and elements of the wedding all end up in the right place at the right time
  • Search for new products, services and suppliers, through word of mouth, online or using social media
  • Deal with paperwork, phone calls, emails and letters
  • Keep a record of all weddings (number of quotes, conversion rates) and also of pictures (to enrich our picture gallery on the tablet – to ask for copyrights to all clients)
  • To benchmark regularly what the other hotels are offering in terms of services, prices, etc… and to compare our own packages accordingly
    • Upselling Awalian experiences & others activities
    • Contact point for the Honeymooners
    • Organising Events groups - Birthdays, corporate etc…
    • Acknowledge & take feedback from repeaters, VIP feedback / follow up etc…
    • Guests preferences, allergies, vegetarians etc…
    • In charge of emailing birthday, wedding anniversary cards via data base created by Stephanie
    • Anticipate arrivals and special request (anniversaries, birthday etc…)
