The Infrastructure Exchange Support Engineer is responsible for maintain, managing, and help mature the email environment and spam filtering for the Global Ceridian technology and products organization.  The key objectives of this role include, but are not limited to, management of Office 365 email environment, bulk email delivery from various Ceridian applications, 2nd tier email support, mobile device management, and email archiving solutions.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Constantly assess current environment configuration and look for ways to improve process or technology
  • Drive Implementation and adherence to standard processes and ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for following change management policies and guidelines 
  • Create and develop Business Requirements Documents (BRD) for projects
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical problems with deep technology expertise with Exchange
  • Online and email archiving solutions
  • Review and edit Root Cause Analysis (RCA) action items and recommendations for improvement
  • Assist the building, configuration, and deployment of new solutions related to the messaging environment
  • Help select tools and write scripts for the automation of supporting the Exchange environment
  • Understand specific products and related technologies to Exchange Online within Office 365
  • Assist in providing estimates of effort, material costs, etc. for project related activities
  • Manage minor issues independently, providing guidance to junior members of the team
  • Provide explanations to project teams about standard work performed on their systems
  • Research trends in technology for infrastructure email systems and archiving solutions
  • Understand requirements necessary for prompt response to critical issues
  • Assist in the response to proposals, including design and validation of architectures
  • Create work plan for major work to be accomplished
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the email platforms, including integration into a larger, heterogeneous environment
  • Assist in documenting and reviewing team processes and procedures, and integrates into larger firm processes
  • Understand disaster recovery methodologies
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years experience with Microsoft Exchange on premise or hosted Office 365 environments.  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education – 4 year collage degree or equivalent experience and certifications
Competencies:
  • Exchange - Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010 or newer
  • Outlook 2007 - Experience with Microsoft Outlook 2007 or newer
  • Windows 7, 8, and 10 - Experience with troubleshoot Outlook on Windows 7, 8 and 10
  • Mobile Device Management - Experience with maintaining and managing MDM tools like AirWatch or Intune
  • Outlook Web Access - Experience with OWA in a global environment
  • Troubleshoot - Experience with advanced troubleshooting with calendar issues and conflicts in Outlook 2007 or newer
  • Lotus Notes - Experience with Lotus notes is a plus
  • Language - Fluent in English, French is a plus
