Beachcomber Catering is looking for an Executive Chef to join their business unit.
Main responsibilities:
• Responsible for Quality Control of meals prepared and ensuring consistency in quality at all times,
•Trains, develops and motivates culinary staff to meet and exceed established food preparation standards consistently,
•Ensure with its brigade of chefs that meals are being prepared according to well-defined recipes,
•Able to provide direction for all day-to-day operations in the kitchen in terms of food presentation and quality control,
•Actively involved in menu development and maintaining updated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared,
•Ensuring that all recipes in use are entered into the ERS system and updated accordingly,
•Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times,
•Ensures all equipment in the kitchen is properly maintained and in working order at all times,
•Organize orders and requisitions to ensure adequate provisions for needs in a timely manner
Qualifications and profile:
•A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Chef position, Knowledge in Quality Assurance, Food Safety and HACCP,
•Ready to perform odd and flexible hours of work, including Sunday, Public Holidays.
•Proactive, highly motivated, energetic and extrovert personality,
•Coaching & Leadership skills, detail oriented and excellent organizational skills with a people-oriented focus,
