ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Ekium AMIO Ltd. (formerly Consultec Ltd.) is a fast-expanding engineering design and consultancy firm operating in industrial projects, building services, automation, and process control.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Design, maintain, inspect, and improve electrical installations, systems and facilities, components/products based on International and local Electrical Standards for commercial, industrial, and domestic applications.
• Use computer-aided engineering and design software to perform electrical engineering drawings, detailed calculations, sizing, and simulations.
• Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Prepare Technical specifications of materials and equipment as per project requirements.
• Prepare BOQ and develop estimated budgets based on estimated Engineering drawings, labour, material, and construction costs.
• Lead, coordinate and monitor construction and installation activities on site.
• Perform inspection and quality control / Audit on installation work.
• Prepare design brief & support documentation for projects.
• Carry out visual and preliminary inspections on complete installations/equipment to ensure conformance to relevant standards, design and safety requirements and specifications.
• Carry out commissioning activities to ensure compliance of installation or equipment with design and performance requirements, specifications, and standards.
• Focus on green / sustainable / smart technological engineering designs.
• Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
• Preparation, follow up and updating of budgets and sales targets together with the Manager.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Put in place and maintain the necessary procedures and systems for an optimum contracts’ management.
• Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
• Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-terms objectives.
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
• Ensuring the highest level of quality for engineering design.
• Ensuring professional standards are maintained for all design activities.
• Develop and promote technical best practice and research and development of methods and tools.
• Prepare and follow up on technical and commercial proposals.
• Support project teams in delivering the project to the highest standards as per the requirements of ISO 9001.

Requirements:

• Registered professional engineer with at least 2 years post registration.
• Sound knowledge of Building services engineering.
• Leadership traits / Self motivator / Proactive / Team Player.
• Holder of a valid driver’s license for site inspections.
