The Team Lead DevOps will manage and guide the DevOps team, ensuring smooth technical operations, system reliability, and continuous improvement. This role involves overseeing the implementation of DevOps practices and tools within the organization's software development and operations teams.

 

TotalEnergies Mobility Services International Ltd (TEMSI) is a tech subsidiary of the TotalEnergies company based in Mauritius. We are approximately 100 employees thriving to innovate, develop and maintain the Company's software solutions. More specifically, we work closely with various Marketing & Services subsidiaries to develop Mobility oriented solutions.
 
We are currently seeking a Team Lead DevOps who will manage and guide the DevOps team, ensuring smooth technical operations, system reliability, and continuous improvement. This role involves overseeing the implementation of DevOps practices and tools within the organization's software development and operations teams. This includes leading efforts to automate and streamline software delivery pipelines, optimize infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
DELIVER
  • Lead a team of DevOps.
  • Monitor, deploy and maintain critical applications and systems.
  • Organize the technical operations to achieve SLAs such as development and maintenance of solutions for operational administration, access control, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring…
  • Implement and maintain a continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines across multiple environments, automating the testing and deployment of code up to production environments.
  • Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management, monitoring etc…
  • Set up and maintain interfaces with 3rd party systems.
  • Participate to and may leads the implementation of technical projects
  • Work closely with technical stakeholders to implement system and/or architecture changes.
  • In all automation, code abide by quality framework (logs, comments, traceability…)

PROCESS

  • Participate as a team member in fully Agile Scrum deliveries: active member during Agile ceremonies, and populate support tools such as Jira, Azure/AWS DevOps suite
  • Coordinate and animate devops team members
  • Responsible for regular communication with others involved in the delivery process.
  • Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
  • Report on issues or alert that may prevent to achieve milestones to management for arbitration.

QUALITY

  • Participate in the norms & best practice elaboration & update.
  • Issue technical decisions within his delegation.
  • Define technical quality gates to ensure that the SLAs of devops team can be abided by

MANAGE, COACH AND TRAIN

  • Manage directly a team of DevOps.
  • Support team members in their skills developments and ensure a good onboarding.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring that best practices and standards are followed.
  • Participates in the overall stability & ramp-up of the team competence wise: assist management in defining and follow up team skill matrix and training plan.
  • Participate in continuous improvement process & animates this process within his team.
  • Be the referent and technical expert.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any equivalent relevant field
  • At least 10 years of professional experience and/or leading a team.
  • Fluency in Cloud administration (preferably AWS)
  • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize
  • Good communication skills
  • Thoroughness and sense of service
  • Autonomy and initiative.
  • English and french fluency
  • Team player
