We are currently looking for energetic, pro-active and motivated Design Sales Specialist to join our growing Projects team.
 

Position Overview:
The Design Sales Specialist with Managerial Responsibilities is a key role that blends interior design expertise, strong sales skills, and team leadership. This individual will consult with clients to deliver creative design solutions, drive sales performance, and oversee a small team of 2-3 employees to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate combines a passion for design with proven managerial experience and a focus on achieving both sales and team development goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation and Sales:
 1. Engage with clients to understand their design goals, preferences, and budgets.
2. Provide expert guidance on space planning, furniture selection, color schemes, and materials.
3. Create design concepts and presentations using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software.
4. Build strong client relationships to drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
5. Oversee the full project lifecycle, from design consultation to implementation, ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Team Leadership and Management:
 1. Supervise and mentor a team of 2-3 employees, including sales associates or junior designers.
2. Provide coaching and training to enhance the team’s skills in design, customer service, and sales.
3. Assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure team members meet deadlines and performance goals.
4. Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
5. Resolve team or client issues promptly and professionally.

  • Operational Oversight:
 1. Ensure the showroom or workspace is well-organized, visually appealing, and stocked with necessary materials.
2. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to manage inventory and ensure timely delivery of products.
3. Monitor team operations and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
4. Implement and maintain best practices for design consultations, client follow-ups, and project management.

  • Reporting and Administration:
 1. Track and report sales figures, team performance metrics, and project statuses to upper management.
2. Use CRM tools to manage client interactions and ensure seamless communication.
3. Prepare and review quotes, invoices, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in interior design or sales, with at least 1-2 years of managerial experience.
3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing successful projects.


Skills:

1. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and staff.
3. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and CRM tools.
4. Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
5. Sales-driven mindset with the ability to negotiate and close deals effectively.
