A Demi Chef de Partie at the Staff Restaurant will support the Sous Chef in various culinary task while gaining gaining experience and skills necessary for career advancement in the culinary industry.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for various dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Execute cooking techniques and methods under the guidance of superiors to ensure dishes are cooked to perfection, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring they are adequately stocked with ingredients, tools, and equipment necessary for smooth operation.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen brigade, communicating effectively to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution of orders.
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment, minimizing risks of foodborne illnesses and accidents.
  • Actively seek opportunities to expand culinary knowledge and skills, taking part in training sessions and workshops provided by the culinary leadership team.

Candidate Profile:

  • NC3 in Food Production or any other qualification relevant to the position.
  • Minimum 2 years of experiences in the similar position.
  • Good communication in English and French in both oral and written.
  • Team oriented.
