Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clearing and Forwarding Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the clearance and transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations, and coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the clearance of goods through customs and ensure timely processing of shipping documents.

  • Coordinate with customs authorities, port officials, shipping lines, and transport providers to ensure smooth logistics operations.

  • Prepare and verify shipping documents, such as bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to imports and exports.

  • Liaise with clients to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any logistics-related issues.

  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and documents for audit and reporting purposes.

  • Negotiate freight rates and manage cost-effective logistics solutions.

  • Handle claims and disputes related to cargo damage or delays.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in clearing and forwarding, customs brokerage, or freight forwarding.

  • Strong knowledge of customs procedures, tariff classifications, and import/export documentation.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade regulations is a plus.
