The Customer Service Representative in AfterSales is responsible for managing post-purchase customer inquiries, resolving issues related to product performance, repairs, returns, and warranty claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer-oriented approach, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of our products and services. This role is vital in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the strong reputation of the Makita brand.

  1. Customer Support & Inquiries

  2. Returns and Replacements
  3. Issue Resolution
  4. Product Knowledge
  5. Customer Relationship Management
  6. Documentation and Reporting
  7. Warranty Claims & Repairs

  8. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

 

Key Requirements:

  • Education:
    Higher School Certificate

 

  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in customer service, particularly in an aftersales or technical support role, is preferred.
    • Experience in the power tools, hardware, or consumer electronics industry is a strong advantage.

 

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
    • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a customer-first mindset.
    • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Attention to detail, especially when handling warranties, repairs, and returns.
    • Technical aptitude to understand Makita’s products and services and to provide accurate troubleshooting advice.

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience and resilience, especially when handling difficult or frustrated customers.

Hours:

  • Mon to Fri > 08h30 - 17h,
  • Sat > 08h30 > 13h.
  • May be required to do overtime from time to time.
