The Customer Service Officer - Insurance is the focal point within the Insurance Team for external and internal stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Provide consistent aftersales customer service, facilitate the resolution of claims, customer service issues or complaints
- Enhance the customer experience levels
- Provide insurance quote to customers
- Submit approved documentation with KYC documents
- Initiate, conduct and follow-up of monthly renewals
- Regular Client follow-up on pending renewals through calls, SMS and Letters
- Customer on-boarding, Processing of insurance certificate & vignette, invoicing
- Monthly reporting
- Preparation of claims
- Achieve set targets of sales campaigns
- Carry out administrative duties
Profile
- Minimum – Higher School Certificate
- CII qualifications or Insurance related Studies or Diploma in Management, Business or any relevant field, would be an advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an Insurance environment will be an advantage.
- Underwriting and claims exposure (General /Short-Term Insurance and/or Life Assurance)
- Relevant experience in providing and planning for excellent customer service within the Insurance field
- Good domain knowledge /technical background in insurance (General/Short-Term Insurance and/or Life Assurance)
- Excellent understanding of Insurance products and services
- Thorough understanding of customer-related processes
- Knowledge of IT skills including but not limited to Microsoft office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & French)
- Good listening skills
- Analytical skills to understand Financials
