Our client in the SME digital financing sector is seeking to recruit a Credit Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Reading, assessing, analysing, and interpreting client's credit data, financial statements, and other financial reports of companies.
- Preparing, evaluating, and completing credit proposals with thorough analysis of Applicant’s strength and weaknesses, repayment capacity and associated risk profile prior to submitting/recommending applications for decisioning.
- Ensure credit review on all applications are following the company’s credit strategy and policies.
- Performing the borrower’s credit assessment within the set SLA timeframe.
- Outline to the client the reasons for refusal, where appropriate.
- Engage with the borrowers and accountants to gather information where appropriate.
- Engage with other members of the team on each credit proposition.
- Ensure that specific conditions, if any, stipulated by Credit Committee when approving a borrowing request are reflected in the loan documentation.
- Support and participate in credit related projects, system enhancement and process improvement.
- Developing and utilizing credit scoring systems and statistical models to assist in credit decision.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with team members, including both internal and external stakeholders such as sales personnel, legal officers, and investors.
- Ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities delegated by the supervisor from time to time.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or any other equivalent.
- Preferably 1 – 3 years of experience in credit processing and analyst position.
- Experience in handling SME portfolio would be added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as in a team to achieve collective goals.
- Familiar with Excel and accounting analysis.
- Good communications and written skills in English, French and Kreol.
- ACA/ACCA qualification would be added advantage.
