Core Network Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Core Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our core network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, deploy, and manage core network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

· Implement network solutions to meet the company’s business and technical requirements.

· Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.

· Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades.

· Implement and maintain network security policies, procedures, and controls.

· Ensure the network infrastructure is protected from potential security threats.

· Work closely with other teams, including IT, Operations, and Support, to ensure seamless service delivery.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.

· Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.

· Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve network performance and reliability.

 Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

· At least 1 year of experience in network engineering, with a focus on core network infrastructure.

· Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and SIP.

· Hands-on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei.

· Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

· Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., CNNA, CCNP, JNCIP, HCIP) are a plus.

· Experience with telecommunications networks and services.
