Cook - Bakery & Pastry

Perform basic culinary tasks and assist the Demi Chef de Partie/ Pastry Chef in preparation of bread, pastries and desserts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitise working top every time before proceeding with other tasks and at the end of shift
• Portion cakes, bake basic pastries for breakfast and display on buffet
• Prepares ingredients for mise en place of lunch and dinner, as per quality and quantity standard
• Display final products on buffet
• Clear away buffet after breakfast and lunch service
• Prepare and responsible of pancake station at tea time- breakfast and afternoon tea
• Assist in other outlet when necessary
• Perform any cognate duties assigned by Pastry Chef
• The Cook – Bakery & Pastry will be required to conduct his duties in a respectful, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, brand standards and code of conduct, ensuring that he provides support to the Pastry Chef in providing a high level of service is maintained by his team at all times

Qualification Standard

• Qualifications: Form 4, NC3 Food Production
• Experience: Atleast 2 years experience
• Personal Qualities: Organisational Skills, Planning and Good communication
