You are a compliance officer with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a management company in Mauritius: You have a strong track record within trust and fiduciary services industry and strong ability to manage staff and relationships;

 

  • You will be a senior officer of the company responsible for the supervision of the client administration and accounting teams within the company;
  • As such you will be responsible for managing the three teams of administrators and accountants who oversee our client portfolios consisting of trusts and corporate structures;
  • You will be required to ensure all assigned tasks and the related processes are completed, operating within the controls, guidelines and procedures as established by the directors, including training and developing team members;
  • You will be required to review, amend (where required) and approve key output produced by the three teams including management accounts, annual financial statements, board meeting agendas, board minutes and resolutions;
  • You will be required to ensure responsibilities and duties as trustees and directors of client entities are performed in accordance with appropriate legal documentation such as trust deed and constitution, the laws and rules of the financial and other regulatory bodies including Financial Services Commission, Registrar of Companies etc;
  • You will be required to manage and mitigate any fiduciary risks for the company relating to the provision of trust and corporate services by the administration accounting teams;
  • You will be required to lead and conduct regular due diligence exercises as required by law and make regular reports on any findings;
  • You will be required to work closely with the executive directors to ensure fiduciary and statutory duties and obligations to clients and regulatory bodies is discharged properly and timeously;
  • You will be required to ensure best practices, procedures and processes of trust and corporate services are implemented and maintained by the teams;
  • You will be required to manage key client relationships and ensure client satisfaction and dealing promptly with any complaints;
  • You will be required to ensure proper and timeous timekeeping and invoicing by the teams is adhered to at all times;
  • You will be required to oversee the implementation of a CRM IT system and ensure that the database is properly maintained by the teams;
  • You will be required to motivate your staff members, and provide your guidance on strategic, technical and service delivery matters;
