We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team at Capital Horizons ltd in Floreal, Mauritius. Capital Horizons is a 100% privately held organisation by the Kundomal & Co, which owns interests in financial services, fund managers, real estate development companies and Technology companies.

  1. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the company, such as SEC rules, GDPR, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations, etc.
  2. Ensure that the company’s policies, procedures, and practices are in line with these regulations to mitigate risk.
  3. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks, including financial, operational, or reputational risks.
  4. Work with other departments to develop and implement strategies to mitigate or manage risks.
  5. Establish, update, and enforce internal compliance policies and procedures to guide employees in following regulatory standards and company guidelines.
  6. Conduct training programs for employees to ensure they understand compliance protocols and regulations.
  7. Perform internal audits and work with external auditors to assess the effectiveness of the company’s compliance program.
  8. Prepare and submit reports to senior management and regulatory bodies, detailing the company’s compliance status and any corrective actions taken.
  9. Ensure that all compliance-related documentation is accurately maintained and readily accessible for audits or inspections.
  10. Recommend or enforce disciplinary actions for employees or departments that fail to adhere to compliance standards.
  11. Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, ensuring timely submissions of necessary filings and responding to inquiries.
  12. Ensure that all necessary licenses, certifications, and approvals are current and renewed as required by law.
Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Approval officcer by the FSC.
  2. Degree in Law/Finance with law/Management with Law or Professional Qualifications in Compliance.
  3. Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in similar position in a regulated entity.
  4. Communication skills both verbal and written.
  5. Ability to handle confidential information.
  6. Team player and ability to work independently as well.
