The Officer Compliance shall assist the Head of Department and/or through the Compliance Manager as and when required.

 

 

The Officer - Compliance is primarily responsible to assist the Compliance Manager on Credit Files Review, Regulatory Affairs, Monitoring & Updates, in line with implementation of the Compliance Plan in a timely m anner.The Officer Compliance shall assist the Head of Department and/or through the Compliance Manager as and when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure regulatory deadlines are met to avoid reminders and warnings for RBS Bank Information Pack for submission to BOM, Return on Fees and Charge for submission to BOM and Queries from regulatory bodies.
  • Provide assistance/support to the compliance Manager or Compliance Coordinator or Head of Department for preparation of following regulatory returns such as, but not limited to RBS Operation Risk Return –for submission to Risk Management Department, RBS Residual Risk Return for submission to Finance Department, ICAAP Return for submission to Risk Management Department, Updates of Trilateral Reporting for submission to Finance Team.
  • Contribute in the design and review of the Compliance plan for each FY.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining and updating Delegation of Powers (DOP) to reflect the actual practice.
  • Compliance testing with BOM guidelines and applicable laws as per allocated tasks as per the compliance plan.
  • Compliance testing with the Bank’s policies, procedures with focus on critical business units as per allocated tasks as per the compliance plan.
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of Packs for EXCO, Audit Committee and Yearly Board Reporting for compliance risk matters

PREREQUISITES:

  • Having a University Degree in Law and being a Barrister at Law will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of regulatory compliance experience in banking and/or financial services.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in any other business unit of the bank and/or financial services.

 SKILLS:

  • Analytical, proactive and solution oriented.
  • Knowledge of Banking Operations
  • Strong technical knowledge of banking and/or financial services.
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance and regulatory concepts, practices and methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
