We are looking for Trainees who reside in the centre and south regions of the island to join our Communication Department for a period of 6 months.

 

Overview of the Role:

As a Communication & Media Relations Trainee, you will work under the guidance of senior communication professionals to learn the fundamentals of creating, managing, and disseminating communication strategies across various channels. This role provides a dynamic environment where you can develop key communication skills, contribute to real-world projects, and learn how to effectively communicate a brand’s message to a wide range of audiences.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 Media & Press Relations:

  • Research and identify media coverage opportunities.
  • Assist in managing journalists' requests and sending out press releases (local & international).
  • Expand and update press kits with relevant materials.
  • Support the coordination and execution of press, influencer, and celebrity trips.

 Content & Digital Communication:

  • Assist in developing creative and engaging social media strategies.
  • Contribute to external communications, including website updates, newsletters, and email campaigns.

 Research & Reporting:

  • Conduct literature and market research on relevant industry topics.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to support the team’s communication strategies.

 Event & Campaign Support:

  • Contribute to the planning and organization of press and influencer events.
  • Support the execution of PR and media campaigns.

 Administrative & Organizational Support:

  • Cross-check and verify expenses, including invoices and credit card usage.
  • Assist in restructuring and organizing video and photo archives for efficient access.
  • Provide general administrative support for team planning, meetings, and workflow management.

 

Candidate's profile:

  • We are looking for Trainees who reside in the centre and south regions of the island.

 Educational Background:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or related fields.
  • Any internship or coursework experience in PR, digital marketing, or event coordination is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of design tools (Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Trello, MS Planner) is an advantage.

 Communication & Media Skills:

  • Strong writing and editing skills (English & French preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of press releases, media outreach, and PR strategies (preferred but not required).
  • Interest in media relations, influencer marketing, and event planning.
  • Ability to research and analyse industry trends and media coverage.

 Digital & Social Media Competencies:

  • Understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
  • Creative thinking and ability to develop engaging social media content.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, or website content management (preferred but not required).

 Organizational & Administrative Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, especially in cross-verifying invoices and organizing media assets.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Structured and methodical approach to tasks, including event planning and file management.
  • Good knowledge of Excel (required)
