Our client in the financial sector is seeking to recruit a Client Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the preparation and review of client accounts in accordance with IFRS/IAS standards.
- Prepare and file financial statements, reports, and other compliance documents for clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to lead a team.
- Liaise with clients to gather financial data, answer queries, and provide expert accounting advice.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant domestic income tax legislation.
- Ensure effective internal controls and accounting practices are adhered to.
- Work closely with other teams to meet deadlines, ensuring the timely delivery of client reports.
- Assist clients with fund accounting, including the calculation of net asset values (NAV), performance fees, and reconciliations.
- Participate in audits and tax returns preparation.
- Continuously evaluate processes to identify improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
Profile:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working with an audit firm and/or a management company.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS standards.
- Previous experience in fund accounting and a solid understanding of domestic income tax legislation is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
