RESPONSIBILITIES
The Solana Beach Mauritius is actually recruiting a Chef de Partie for its kitchen department to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Cook consistently and enthusiastically on a high level as a Chef de Partie as directed by the head chef
- Helps creating and cooking to perfection the seasonal, all modern gourmet menu and by using products in a sensible and cost effective way
- Cooking and preparing for each service and performs all duties assigned to him/her by the head chef
- Making sure his/her station and its environment (Kitchen and store rooms) is spotless clean and hygiene is kept up at all times; Maintains personal tidy appearance and works in a highly hygiene manner
- Keeps control of his/her responsible station and reports orders for food and non food to the head chef
- Controls incoming goods and stores it in perfect conditions
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Holder of minimum School Certificate or equivalent
- A certificate in the Food & Beverage is essential from a recognised institution
- Minimum 2 years experience in the same field would be a definite advantage
ABILITY & SKILLS
- Good organisational & communication skills
- Dynamic and motivated
- Ability to work flexible hours and under pressure
- Fluent in English & French
Candidates residing the East region is a definite advantage
