Change & Project Manager- IT

The incumbent will be responsible for managing all IT changes and project management processes. The role scopes to manage organization’s IT-related projects (all phases of project life cycle including contracts, budget, invoices etc) and IT change management processes.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Project management

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects from initiation to closure.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools like Asana, Microsoft Project, JIRA etc

 

Change management delivery

  • Implement and manage IT change management strategies to minimize risk and ensure seamless transitions during IT infrastructure and system updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT services with business needs and objectives.
  • Coordinate with various teams to facilitate the successful implementation of IT changes.
  • Evaluate and manage risks associated with IT changes.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in change management processes.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and ensure IT changes align with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT change management team.
  • Prepare and present reports on the status of IT changes to senior management.

 

Processes and policies:

  • Responsible for defining/revising change management and project management framework and implementing respective governance metrics, review of compliance of framework as per defined frequency.
  • Manage and oversee all IT change management & project management processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in audit reviews and ensure timely closure of the observations.

 

Business management:

  • Develop & manage RFPs and lead the pursuit, vendor selection, on-boarding of selected vendors.
  • Manage project budgets
  • Maintaining project contracts for the organization, ensure timely renewals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all projects related invoices and transactions.
  • Coordinate with procurement and IT departments to resolve any discrepancies in invoices.
  • Liaise with project vendors regarding invoicing issues, payment schedules, and queries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Project Management Certification such as PMP , PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster is a plus

Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in project management within the IT sector preferably supporting banking or financial vertical.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in change management processes and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and various technology methodologies and related risks in various phases.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Experience with Agile will be a plus
