HVC Ltd is seeking an experienced Category Manager to develop and execute strategies for the management and growth of specific product categories. His/Her role involves overseeing product selection, pricing, promotions, and overall category performance to optimize sales and profitability. The Category Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, accounting and supply chain, to ensure that the category strategy aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for assigned product categories, focusing on revenue growth, market share, and profitability
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Forecast category growth and set performance targets.
- Introduce new products and phase out underperforming ones based on data-driven analysis.
- Monitor promotional effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed for optimal ROI.
- Monitor category performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales volume, revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Conduct regular reviews to assess performance against targets and take corrective actions if necessary.
- Coordinate with the Retail and HORECA Managers to present reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Work closely with sales teams to provide product knowledge, training, and tools to maximize category sales.
- Partner with the marketing department to create effective marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure efficient product distribution
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in category management, brand management, or related fields within the FMCG sector.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term plans that align with business objectives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and presenting findings.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Business Central)
