Key Responsibilities:

• Expertly cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meats, including beef, lamb and specialty items
• Ensure all meat products are presented attractively and maintain freshness.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of incoming meat products, ensuring they meet store standards.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Engage with customers, providing knowledgeable recommendations and assistance with their meat selections.
• Prepare custom orders and specialty cuts based on customer requests.
• Assist in managing meat inventory, including receiving, storing, and rotating stock.
• Ensure proper labeling and tracking of meat products for traceability.
• Work closely with the culinary team to develop new products and menu items that highlight quality meats.
• Participate in promotional activities and tastings to enhance customer engagement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a butcher in a retail or wholesale unit
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and presentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
