This includes activities such as monitoring the hives, collecting honey and beeswax, managing bee diseases, and maintaining the overall health of the colony. The beekeeper may also be involved in the pollination process for agricultural crops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hive Management: Inspect and maintain beehives, manage space and resources for bees, and monitor colony health.
- Honey Production: Harvest and process honey and other bee products.
- Colony Health: Address diseases, pests, and queen health; ensure the colony's well-being.
- Pollination Services: Transport hives to agricultural areas for crop pollination.
- Record Keeping: Track hive health, honey production, and treatments.
- Safety: Follow safety protocols to avoid bee stings and ensure proper hive handling.
